Dear Family and Friends,
Four years ago, I sat by Lee’s bedside, listening to each breath, knowing the moment was coming when he would take his last. On March 18 at exactly noon, he stepped into eternity, and my life changed forever. At the time, I knew everything would be different—but I didn’t fully grasp just how much.
Through the pain, God has been faithful. His mercy and grace continue to carry me, and each day, I understand His love a little more. “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” (Psalm 34:18)
One way I honor Lee’s memory is by volunteering with Imerman Angels, mentoring women whose husbands have been diagnosed with Glioblastoma (GBM). It’s a privilege to walk alongside them, offering support and encouragement. But it’s also heartbreaking—because while I know what the final days look like, many of these women don’t have the hope that faith brings. Some have no faith at all. I can’t imagine facing such a devastating diagnosis without the assurance of eternity.
Since Imerman Angels is not a faith-based organization, I can’t openly discuss salvation unless they bring it up. But I do ask, “Do you have a faith community?” Their responses reveal so much, and the saddest answer is no. Without faith, life can feel unbearably heavy. Yet, even in these moments, I trust that God is working, drawing hearts to Him in ways I may never see. “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
If you feel led, I’d love for you to join me in praying for these women—that they would find comfort, peace, and ultimately, the hope that only Christ can provide.
Thank you for your love and support. May we all be reminded that even in the hardest seasons, God is near, and His promises remain.
With love and gratitude,
Pam
